Private Label Rights are licenses that can be purchased granting you ownership of content. In our case, we will be talking about digital or online content. Purchasing the rights to content usually consist of eBooks, articles, blog posts, and sometimes eCourses and videos. Using PLR is a great way for a person to take over ownership of content that they did not create.

Who Should Use PLR?

This can be especially helpful for a new marketer who is just getting started online, or someone who knows the value of putting out valuable material on a consistent basis. Someone who is learning can use PLR material to assemble a library of info products for example. Anyone that knows the importance of self-branding and providing value to the marketplace may find leverage in using PLR to get themselves started. They will learn as they go, become known for providing useful material, and establish themselves as a good go-to person for information.

Choose PLR That Is Relevant To Your Chosen Niche

If you are studying internet marketing and brand recognition online then you may have learned about the benefits to having or choosing a particular niche or topic that you stay within and focus on. Therefore you would want to acquire content within that niche. There are many to choose from but it’s a good idea to stay within an area that you are already familiar with or have knowledge or interest in. This will help you graduate from using PLR and go on to creating your own content quicker. Your niche can be anything. Health related or finance related, or marketing related, or anything else.

Learn Where and How To Find High-Quality PLR

If you google your niche you will always find content and you will most likely bump into some PLR content before too long. You don’t have to grab the first thing you find…it may be low-quality material or overpriced. Do some searching and studying and look for PLR writers or providers who have a professional presence online. There are also some well-known websites that a lot of affiliate marketers use for selling their digital products, some of which will be PLR. JVZoo, Warrior Forum, Warrior Plus, ClickBank, and MunchEye are just a few that come to mind. After a while, you’ll begin to recognize familiar names and you’ll acquire some favorites.

Repackaging Your PLR

This is important. You are establishing an identity and a brand online. Therefore you want to find your own voice and your own style. Don’t use PLR as it is, repackage it instead. There are many ways to repackage content, but even if you just rewrite an article using your own words to say the same thing, you are then making it yours and giving it your own voice. Spin it, repackage it, rewrite it, make it yours. This is a great way to learn the content and to perfect your writing or video skills.

Use Your Content To Build Your List

Take a piece of your new PLR content that has value, and use it as a barter for another person’s email address. This is how you build a list. It could be just an article, or a short email or newsletter series. Even the first chapter of an eBook works very well for this. As long as it has value and is enticing you can offer it in exchange for an email address. You can also learn how to develop an attractive lead capture page for promoting your freebie. Once you have an email list then you can promote higher value information products to that list. Some may be free, and some you might want to sell.

Using PLR As A Guide To Getting You Started

This is something that you will want to get better at as you go, and I spoke of it briefly already above. I use PLR to simply get me started and help me get my creative juices flowing. Using other people’s ideas and beginning words is often times enough for me to then just take off with it. It truly becomes mine as it doesn’t even resemble the original by the time I’m done with it. In fact, when you get good at this you can use any material it does not have to be PLR because you are simply using the other person’s content as research. You are doing the actual writing in your own thoughts, your own words, and your own style. It is yours. The original simply helped you with the idea and helped you get started, and you take it from there.

After I write my articles I continue to repackage, creating videos and audios, blog posts, facebook posts, and eBooks. I’ll even take it further and use a paragraph or an idea from my original, and drill down into that one subject and write about it in more detail. You can rewrite a good article many times over and have it become new original content every time.

So you see, using PLR can be a very effective and efficient way for building your brand online.

Are you feeling a little overwhelmed in starting a network marketing business?

It’s okay to start even if you’re not sure when, where, or how to go about it. Really it is.

Sometime I like to reach into the archives and pull out old stuff to see what I was doing then, what I was trying to accomplish at the time, and how things have progressed. Here’s an old video from Jan, 2014 when I was just getting started with videos, and sharing some of the things I was doing via those videos. This one in particular was an encouragement to others starting a network marketing business, and to just get started even if they felt they didn’t have everything ready, set, and perfect. That it was ok to just put some things in motion and learn, polish, and perfect as you go.

I still fully believe in this concept, and although a little rough, my message throughout this video still holds true. Indeed I did go through a long period of time floundering around, jumping from prelaunch to prelaunch hoping to get lucky, and sometimes I did get lucky. What I didn’t know at the time the biggest stroke of luck was finally realizing it was all a lesson of what not to do.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not one of those guys who thinks all start-ups are lost causes … every company had to start up, and fortunes can be made… there’s still a lot to be said about timing. I do however know now that it’s not something that can be counted on… I would never again revolve my whole world around the success of a startup of any kind, nor any other company for that matter. I’ve learned now that when starting a network marketing business, it’s far more important to learn how to market properly, and to be building a new fresh list all the time… the right way.

Things are not the same anymore… a lot of companies have come and gone, there’s new companies opening up on a daily basis now, a lot of the old gang – your old list since day one – have moved on…either smartened up and found a good long term company to stay with, have given up on it all, or are still floundering around doing the same stuff we used to do, that doesn’t work anymore. So it’s become necessary to learn how to market in the modern world, and build new lists with new people. There are hundreds of new people coming online every day now looking for something, or someone who can help them with starting a network marketing business.

But the message is this….there’s a lot to learn… new techniques, new strategies, new platforms, new tools … and yes it can be a bit overwhelming at first, but the worst thing you can do is hold off taking action while you become the expert at everything. No… it’s better to just get started with one thing, even if you are not sure what you’re doing (the best way to learn is to just do). That’s how it will all come together for you… learn one thing at a time, but just get started with something.

Your prospect is interested in MLM because they’re interested in financial freedom.

But are they only interested in your MLM? … or do you think they might also be interested in training, resources, and tools to help them build their MLM business?

In this post we are going to tell you the advantages of having your own list and how you can help your subscribers, in addition to promoting your main product or company.

Becoming a business owner creates many needs. More so than just about any other occupation. Those who are serious are going to need to learn sales… marketing… leadership… time management… you name it. We all require tools, training and resources to be successful at what we do.

Building a list of prospects is the single most advantageous thing you can do for your business.  These will be people who are interested in you and what you are doing. However their interest goes far beyond what your MLM company is. They have needs just like you did when you first got started.

There’s no reason you shouldn’t help your customer solve all these other problems as well.

When you have your own list, you can help, guide, and direct those people to what they are really in need of. Including what you yourself may not have direct access to. With a substantial list you have the ability to do what are called “joint ventures” with other business owners. In fact you will find that as your list grows, and you become more established as a list owner and a leader, other company owners will come calling on you to talk about the possibilities of partnering up with them.This gives you more to share with your subscribers.

The reason joint venturing is so powerful is because  … 1) You’re reaching a large audience that you know for a fact would be interested in what you have …  and 2) You’re doing so with the added credibility of having your message endorsed by someone that audience already knows and trusts.

So you see building a list gives you leverage and power with other company and industry owners and leaders..and you control what your subscribers are presented with. It makes a lot of sense to have the resources to provide solutions to your subscribers. The more the better…because if you don’t have what they need, they will go elsewhere for it.

Think about this… just because you don’t recommend something to your customers, doesn’t mean they’re not out there looking for it themselves. Remember, anyone who’s interested in a given topic is most likely to be interested in other related topics as well. Your prospects will buy things from other people. You might as well be the one to point them in the right direction so you can benefit from it. Basically what you’re doing is sharing customers. Businesses do this all the time.

You have to control the list.

If you do, you wield enormous power. A whole new world of possibilities opens up to you because a list is a highly valuable business asset you can leverage off of – just like a piece of property in a prime location. As distributors, we build the customer list of our MLM company, making it their asset, not ours. We can still be distributors, but we can also learn to build and control the list ourselves.

What happens if your company goes out of business? What happens if it gets shut down by the FTC?  MLMs come and go in this industry all the time. It’s part of the industry… just as it’s part of any business industry. Building a list… YOUR list, is an insurance policy against these tragedies when they happen. There are tons of good and reputable companies out there… but just saying stuff happens right.
But it doesn’t stop with the list. Your entire business needs to be centered around you so that you have complete control over it … for example the following assets which you should be controlling, not a company your represent.

• Your own traffic. (Ex: Ads you place, other websites that link to yours).

• Your own testimonials that establish your credibility.

• Your own content. (Ex: Articles, email series).

• Your MLM organization of course

• Your relationship with your customers. (Determined by how you treat them and the value you bring to their lives.)

• Your USP. (Unique Selling Proposition – What makes you different from everyone else).

• Your website.

• Eventually your own product(s)

All of these are assets that have a real, measurable dollar value (some harder to measure than others). They not only protect your business, they also open you up to an endless amount of ways to make money. If you ever chose to sell your business at some point, they would also have a huge impact on how much it would be worth.

Don’t worry about putting all this together at once. Nobody’s able to do that. Just add one piece at a time, little by little, starting with building a list.

Every time you do, the value of your business increases.
