The #1 best blogging tip I can give is to just begin.

I’ll help with this process if you follow along, but to just begin is what will break down all the barriers.

Once started the rest will come easily enough. Start blogging, get some videos out, get more comfortable in front of the camera, and start your journey.blogging-tips.jpg One of my biggest roadblocks was the nagging thoughts of what I would blog about, what I would talk about, and when and how I was going to get started. But when I got started it opened the floodgates and the thoughts and ideas came to me … I’m sure it will be similar for you… and now I find today that I will never run out of material or things to say and talk about.

Here’s another blogging tip… find yourself a good mentor and/or online training course. Get the training, absorb the training, then blog and video about it. The writing and videos help to process the information so it sticks and you will learn and remember better and faster. It doesn’t matter the exact subject or topic..anything that interests you and that you want to share with others.

If you want to attract people with an interest in home business, network marketing, blogging, video marketing, content marketing, or anything similar then start learning those topics so you can teach what you learn.

Start giving your own blogging tips. The education you share can become a product on it’s own… one that you can use to generate leads with and create an income with. People are attracted to those who are providing good content that will help them solve a problem. This will establish you as a leader and as someone they will want to follow and continue learning from. Information is in high demand and if you provide it people will want to partner with you and work with you. They will come to you instead of you chasing them. This is the attraction marketing concept, and it works. Anyone can do this there is no experience required whatsoever.

When I started I knew nothing about blogging or video… I was totally green and didn’t know where to start or what to do. But I started reading, following the instructions and going trial and error… the slow long hard way figuring it out on my own. It was a process and a learning curve but now we are starting to cruise. Finding the right mentor or trainer can knock a lot off that learning curve. I got the blogging tips from that training and started applying myself. You don’t have to do what we did…all that trial and error… we’ve done it for you …

Now we invite you to follow along the journey. Get your domain name, hosting account, set up wordpress with a good theme, and start writing content. I talked about how helping others has it’s benefits and that it’s also an excellent way to learn and to retain information. Getting a blog established on the internet has many other benefits as well ..including name branding and recognition, and lead generation with minimal capital outlay. If you want to start establishing yourself as a leader and practicing the attraction marketing methods which is the fastest track to success, then get started with these activities. I hope my blogging tips can help you get started too.

Selling Yourself – A Talent That Will Pay You Back Repeatedly

Are you selling YOURSELF, or some opportunity?

Who’s in control of your business…is it you, or the company you represent?selling-yourself-jpg

Getting yourself out of the “I’m a Representative of my Company” mode, and taking control back of your business may be the biggest shift to success you ever make. People are looking for leaders, and if you are presenting yourself as nothing but a representative of “ABC” company, then you might not be the leader your prospects need. Sell yourself before you can even think of selling your opportunity.

Understand that YOU are at the heart of your business…and marketing.

You don’t want to be “under” your company…you want your company “under” you..That may sound a little far fetched to some, but in reality it’s a very real concept and it’s what we teach. When you become the owner of your business… everything is under you…the company or companies you represent and all your customers and affiliates. You are the CEO…you are the company…and your team knows it. Just as all the marketing is yours…we do not depend on “ABC”company to provide our marketing systems and campaigns. We develop, we create, we train, and we lead. And if for whatever reason your said company goes away, or you make a decision to leave, then guess what….it all comes with you.

Identify ways that you can comfortably let prospects get to know, like, and trust you.

selling-yourself-jpgThe best way to help prospects get to know you is to talk to them, and learn more about them…and in return they will learn more about you. Become their friend and find out why they joined you in business…what is it that draws them to you..what is the attraction, and what is their why. You will find things in common which leads to easy conversation. Let them know that you are serious about your business and that you are available to help. Become an expert on your company and choose an area or two of marketing and become an expert at that, and share your knowledge. Educating people goes a long long way towards confidence and trust in you. When you teach, inform and assist people they will come to see you as a valuable asset to them…both in business and out.

Identify opportunities to offer value (based on your skills and strengths).

I mentioned this briefly above. You have a lot of value and you can increase your value on a daily basis by educating yourself. Attend training seminars and workshops and work closely with your coach and mentor, and share what you learn. We all have strengths and weaknesses… build on both. Pass on the knowledge that you have and that you gain, on a very regular basis. Your leaders will rise to the top …give those people special attention. Include them in your trainings and activities, and become friends with all your teammates.Personal relationships is the heart of this business model and industry. Don’t let anyone ever tell you different. And maybe most importantly… help your teammates discover their strengths, and help them use those strengths to build their teams.

Differentiate yourself with your uniqueness.

Selling yourself also depends a lot on your ability to differentiate from everyone else. There’s a lot of competition now, and so many people doing and saying the same things to get others attentions. But those searching out for good opportunities are looking for more. “What can you give me that someone else can’t”. People sponsor shop and they are looking for the best deal they can get. They are looking for leadership. “Can this person lead me where I want to go”. Shortcuts to success are high on the agenda of those coming into business and they want and need to align themselves with those who present themselves with those leadership qualities, and whom they believe canselling-yourself-jpg bring the best out of them and help them fast track to their goals and destinations.

Ultimately it’s up to you, not your company, or your upline, to differentiate yourself. Doing what others won’t do to set yourself apart will make a world of difference, to you and to you prospects and teammates. Push the limits on yourself to make this happen. You are the boss now and it’s up to you to under-promise and over-deliver. You will develop loyal followers and your name and reputation, which is everything in this business, will become honorable. Work on your character. Commit to certain things you will do and not do, and make it clear what your guidelines and practices will be. Create the image that you want others to see. Your character is a huge part of your marketing strategy, as well as your leadership status, and will set the stage for further development of yourself and your teammates. At the end of the day, it’s up to you to help your followers instill confidence in themselves, and to create the image that they need to see in you, in return for their full commitment and loyalty.

So you see…selling yourself becomes number one.

Overcoming fear can be crucial to reaching your potential.

Are your fears getting in the way of your success?

Do you feel your fears are keeping you from your full potential?

Recently I came across an article about fear and how it keeps us from our potential. Actually the article was titled Why We Fail To Create. It was an interesting piece about how fear overcoming-fear-jpggets in the way and keeps us from doing the things we want to do, and from creating the things we want to create…blocking us from our true potential and from being the best we can be.

I thought it was a good topic to rewrite and blog about so I started in on my routine of absorbing and processing the information and then putting it into my own words. Then I stopped reading and just started writing. After all I might be considered an expert on fear. I have my fair share and then some..and so what an easy topic for me to talk about. My “social anxiety” sometimes has a place in the most mundane of interactions for me. It’s a real curse. Fears on top of fears.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not paralyzed…I’m functioning and even manage to excel at some things. So I guess the human mind has a coping overcoming-fear-jpgmechanism that kicks in to save the day when we find ourselves confronting those fears. But do they ever really go away? Probably not..at least not in  my case. Can I learn to live with them? Sure why not… and as they say the best way to overcoming fear is to stare it in the face.

My fears have to do with people. Can anyone else relate to this? Social Anxiety. Fear of conversations, fear of eye contact, fear of intimacy, fear of honesty and truthfulness. And a deathly fear of public speaking. Now I’m not saying I lie about things, or hide from people. I just don’t go out of my way to attend social functions or gatherings, and I don’t volunteer true feelings or brutal honesty. It’s easier for me to run from my fears and to take the easy way out, then it is to face them and gut it out. Even though I know running is the cowardly way, and it does nothing for confidence and self-esteem, it’s the path of less resistance. Taking the easy way out.

It does however interfere with my work ambitions. Those constant doubts and questions of what others are going to think, and if I’m good enough. I know people were not put here to judge me, and I know people respect others that try even when they fail,  but no matter how hard someone like me tries to convince themselves otherwise…the fears persist.overcoming-fear-jpg

My love for internet marketing comes honestly. It is comforting knowing I can work and succeed without leaving my home. Going along with my strengths makes sense to me, and conquering internet marketing I feel is my strength and my calling. But I still am not performing to my full potential. My fears still get in the way…I get in the way…and if I could just learn to get out of my way, my success would come easier and faster this I know. I would become dangerously good at what I do. But I will keep trying. I will succeed. Letting it get the best of me is not an option. There are workarounds, and in the meanwhile I will continue to work at confronting and conquering those fears.

Here’s a few tips about overcoming fear that I picked up from reading on the same subject.

1. Keep going and it gets easier. When fear and doubt creep in, we creep forward.
2. Hang with people who have overcome their fears.
3. Celebrate the little wins
4. See the future outcome of overcoming.
5. Understand the cost of giving in or giving up.

Time to celebrate. Writing this is a little win for me.

It's being stated by the experts that by the year 2020 one half of the world's population will be online. A healthy percentage of them will be looking for opportunity.

That's a good reason for getting started in MLM now. There are several other good reasons.

Doing it the right way can position you in front of a good percentage of those people. It's also been said that over 80% of new opportunity seekers start their online business journey's with a search on Google.

Putting yourself in the path of those opportunity seekers is a darn good way to leverage your business building efforts. Does that make sense?

Getting Started With MLM And Internet Marketing

Before I go any further though I have to make a point and I must choose my words carefully to get the correct meaning across. I'll be talking a lot about getting started in MLM the right way. I'll also be talking a lot about internet marketing.

That doesn't necessarily mean for the brand new person to start their business adventure with internet marketing. Internet marketing is a learned skill that takes time. And I wouldn't want anyone to not start building their teams while learning.

You can't begin with something you don't know how to do yet. But you for sure can start learning the internet marketing trade while you're starting with the more conventional methods.

Begin with what you know how to do, such as talking to your friends and family, co-workers, and others in your community. This will get you well on your way.

So when I say getting started in MLM the right way, this simply means understanding and knowing that a well rounded strategy will need to be in play. Big global businesses have never been built with just friends and family. You are going to have to acquire some other skill sets to expand your business.

The secret to success with a network marketing company is to learn and use all phases of marketing. That includes online marketing of all sorts, and offline marketing of all sorts.

you need traffic!

Your friends and your family, people you know, community associates, work mates, etc will get you going, yes. But over time that will slow down for you. You need traffic to your website.

If you learn how to drive traffic to your website you can build any MLM any time. Learn the skill and it's yours for life. You will own it.

There are two types. Paid advertising and organic traffic. These are two different skills. I'll be talking about organic traffic. 

Organic traffic is relatively zero out of pocket expense. I won't say it's free. You'll pay dearly learning the trade. But that's the case with all trades. You must invest your time and effort. That's what will cost you. 

You will also need marketing tools. Nothing major ... hosting account, domain, and maybe a web page builder software. These are a small expense. The majority of your investment will be in learning. Reading, studying, and doing.

understanding the strategy is crucial to your long term success

Most new people online immediately think of social networks like Facebook when they hear the term internet marketing. That's not wrong, but it's not right either. At least not completely right. 

Yes, using social media to share a message of your business is a form of internet marketing. But it's just one small piece of the puzzle. It's one step in a series of steps to complete the picture.

I could talk about how important on the scale each piece is. But it's really about making all the pieces work together. That's where the power comes from.

You see, it's all about becoming seen and becoming known. And for this to happen you have to learn how to be everywhere. How to spread your message far and wise using the power of the internet.

If you do this consistently over a period of time, you'll create your own brand online. And if you can do that, you're winning the battle.

get yourself a plan and stick to it 

Yes it's true you do need a plan, and you need to stick to it. This is a big part of getting started with MLM the right way. You are going to run into a lot of trainers, guru's, coaches, and know-it-all's. All saying something different.

This is where so many people get frustrated and walk away. Information overload leads to frustration and confusion. Too many people saying too many different things. You don't need to buy courses or pay to attend webinars.

You just need to start creating your own brand online by being everywhere. All the training you need is online and it's all free. It might take you a little bit to determine who you should be following. The best thing you can do is find one person that is doing what you want to do successfully, and learn from them. Do what they do.

this is your basic formula

It's going to look something like this  ...

You need a home base. This is most often your own personal About Me website or personal blog. Here you will tell people about yourself and what you do. You can drive traffic here, and with a blog attached, which is recommended, you'll have several different pages and topics for that traffic to go. 

I suggest keeping it all within the same niche, keeping in mind the goal at first is to just get started. You won't know yet if you're doing it exactly right. But it's okay I don't think anyone has ever stayed on the exact same path as they progress and learn.

But if you just get started you will grow and learn and figure it all out. If you continue to wait, taking training after training thinking you can learn it classroom style, you don't stand a chance in hell.

It is from this home base that you will branch out and feed all your other online properties by sharing your articles and posts. Picture it like a wheel.  Your base is the hub and the spokes are the paths to all your other platforms.

The other platforms consist of video sharing sites like Youtube, all your social media profiles like Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and Pinterest, newsletters, company owned websites, and Facebook business pages and team groups.

So you share the blog posts and pages out to your other platforms, with links driving the traffic right back to where they originated, That traffic will be offered an enticing reason to opt-in to your email list. This is a trade. The visitors email in exchange for your gift (something of value). 

Now you are building a hot Email list of interested prospects 

The money is in the list. Email lists of prospects are powerful. You can follow up with these people by providing good quality content that teaches stuff about your niche and teaching them about your company and products.

I don't care what anyone says email marketing is still the best. But it's not the only way. You can build lists of followers on your Facebook pages and groups and also your Youtube channels. 

However, you are still eventually going to have to get those people to a website so they can join your biz opp or purchase your products. And your blog posts which you drive the traffic back to will take care of that for you. Just link to wherever you want people to go.

what about company websites 

So why do we do it this way. Everyone in an MLM gets a company replicated website where people join and purchase. Why not just send your traffic to those sites?

Many reasons. There are a ton of reasons why it's not a good idea to send your traffic to a company website. 

First of all you don't own that site, You cannot tell people about yourself and you cannot collect email addresses to build a list. And that's what it's all about. Here I'll say it again ... the money is in the list.

Even though you are a rep of the company, you absolutely are building your own business. And you business consists of your inventory. Your email list and your followers are your inventory. What if something happened and you changed your mind about the company you are with? If you don't own the list you cannot take it with you.

Do you see? Even though you are with an MLM you are still the boss. You are branding yourself and you are building you first.

The company you represent simply becomes one of your products. But the list and the followers and the traffic and the domain authority should ALWAYS all belong to you.

company websites cannot be optimized for SEO

I won't go much into SEO (Search Engine Optimization) right now other than to say it is something that you are going to want to learn and apply. It's a little more advanced but it's something you can pick up once you have your foundation layed.

Do you recall in the beginning I mentioned putting yourself into the path of all the new biz opp seekers coming online every day? SEO is how you do it. When people do a search someone's website gets shown. 

When they search for something related to your company or product, do you want to be the one that gets shown, or do you want it to be some other rep's site that gets shown?

Silly question right?

The thing is that company replicated sites do not get shown on the Google results. Personal sites and pages do. SEO is a huge part of internet marketing. It's a part that you would not want to ignore. You will want to learn it. If you get good with SEO it can make you rich.

And even though company replicated MLM sites do not work with SEO, you can still build a massive MLM team using SEO.

I'll go so far as to say getting started with MLM the right way absolutely must include tapping into this organic traffic through search engines. This is what you are working towards. But you have to have the basics first.

In this post I will share why you should get started now today, why experience or previous knowledge is not a factor, but how important it is getting started the right way.

Information overload to an aspiring networker is like a debilitating injury to an athlete. It can and will stop you dead in your tracks. But despite the information overload it’s still vital to just get going. The preferred way is of course to find someone who can help you get started the right way. The video below is a small look into some of the ways I started, that may not have been the best, yet still got me going. It’s always a progression, and if you surround yourself with the right coaching, mentoring, and training you will find progressing quickly and properly.

Getting ready to get ready is another killer, just as is thinking everything needs to be perfect. It’s more important to just start. It took me a long time…years…to understand a lot of this. I had no problem getting started…but I did have a problem with the transition into doing things the right way. Things are different today… different on the internet and what works and what doesn’t, the techniques that get results are different, and I’m different. I know now what needs to be done, what I need to do to see that happens, and that sharing that information is golden.

Getting StartedPlease continue to follow me as I take you through my training of all aspects of internet marketing the right way. I’m learning from one of the best, and I’m doing it on a daily basis. Everything I learn I will be sharing with you. Get started, but get started the right way. Find yourself someone you feel can teach you, who is in the business of teaching, block out all the other noise, and learn yourself a trade. Don’t try and be an expert at everything at first. Find something you understand or that you like and learn it all the way…get good at it…become an expert at it, and then add something new.
