Mindset

The right attitude will get you through the tough times

The right attitude will get you through the tough times

What's all this Mindset training for your business success I keep hearing about?

I hear it often. Maybe too often. Mindset this and mindset that ... mindset, mindset, mindset. Holy cow!

Truth be told, I think the term has been overused.

But that doesn't mean it's not important or necessary.

On the contrary ...  it's quite necessary. Your attitude can make a huge difference in your success.

I just have an issue with so many so-called gurus preaching about mindset for success before teaching about getting started and taking action.

Your mindset won't matter if you're not doing anything

The concept is real. In order to be successful in the network marketing industry, or any industry for that matter, you mind must be in the right place.

Fear of getting started in your business

The fear of starting is real

There's a lot going on. It never happens as fast as we would like, and it can get frustrating trying to make it happen. So you must prepare yourself. The right mindset can get you through the really tough times.

But still, there's more to it than that. Getting started might seem so obvious it wouldn't require mentioning. But it would surprise you how many never do it.

Some are so intent on following their favorite mentors and trainers. They are being told that mindset is everything. In the process people just too often never take action. They become training attending experts.

The problem is that attending trainings are not income producing activities.

Mindset Training Is Important. But Can It Really Be Taught?

It's the same for "personal development". Is it important? Of course it is. But it's not everything.

We see some leaders, trainers, and gurus preaching it as if mindset is everything. It's all they are teaching, above everything else.

And the more they preach it, the more people tune in to the training. To the point of getting stuck in the training.

The truth is, there is a genuine fear of moving beyond the training, to actually doing what you are training for. This is a dangerous cycle to get caught up in.

Getting Stuck In Training. It's A Cancer In This Industry.

“I can't tell you how many people i see get stuck in training cement. They are stuck and can't move. Personal development after personal development. Mindset training after mindset training.”

Being frozen in training mode is a killer. Has anyone else seen it? Maybe you are there now.

Having the right attitude is ultra-important. Of course it is. But it's difficult to teach a person to have the right mindset, if they don't already.

The Right Mindset: Some Have It And Some Don't

The right mindset is something that some people have, and some people don't. For those that don't... can that person be taught to acquire the right mindset?

Can mindset training for success be the answer for those people?

Can a person be taught to want something bad enough? So bad that they do whatever it takes to move forward towards their goals.

Motivated to mindset training for success

Mindset training for success : Yes you can succeed!

If you mind is in the right place, you are ready and prepared to make it happen no matter what it takes. And you will.

I can't help but think of people with depression. It's like telling that person to stop being depressed. To change their thinking. To not do that anymore.

It's just not that easy.

Being Passionate Creates The Right Mindset For Success

If a person is passionate enough about what they are doing, the rest will take care of itself. The person who is passionate enough will find a way.

Those people do not need mindset training. They already have it. They own it.

With the right attitude a person can hold their dream. They don't lose sight. When they get stuck they don't quit, they tweak the method and go again.

And they keep doing that until they re-find their forward progress.

nothing takes the place of action and engagement:

Mindset and personal development are crucial pieces, but nothing takes the place of action and engagement. A person can train for mindset until the cows come home. If they do not take action and put activity into place they still don't move. Nothing happens. It doesn't matter. Mindset doesn't matter if a person doesn't engage.

a good mindset is motivation

With the right motivation, frustrations can be overcome. When things don't work as planned, it's simply a matter of tweaking the approach, or the delivery, or the process.

It might be a matter of changing the order or the steps. Maybe a different tool or a slightly different method.

Sometimes the entire project needs to be rebuild for the ground up.

But those with the right attitude and the passion to see it through will go that extra mile.

mindset for success is vital

The person with the right mindset will find a way to do these things. So yes, mindset for success is vital.

But still the question remains ... is this something you can teach a person? Can you teach someone to want something bad enough to do what it takes.

Can you teach a person to have the drive and the motivation to get out of bed in the morning on a mission to succeed?

Because that's what the right mindset will do for you.

It will drive you to make things happen when most will give up. It will drive you to make changes if something is not working.

And to keep making changes until you find the right formula, the right approach, the right delivery, or the right method.

Action Is Everything

“Action trumps everything. Without action, the right attitude, the right intent, and the right mindset means nothing.”

One of the things that i try to teach people is to just do it, even if it's wrong. Even if it doesn't seem ready, or perfect enough, or the right time. Do it anyway.

Doing it will guide you to the right time or the right way. It will help you realize it only needs to be good enough. And if it's not, it will be on the next try.

Doing it anyway will get you unstuck. It's okay to mess up. It's okay to make mistakes, and it's okay if it's ugly, or unrefined. Even if it's imperfect, do it anyway.

Being Self-taught will set your mind right

Being self taught from taking action and doing "the thing" is the way that you will never forget. It's the way that you will feel the best about.

All the training in the world and all the teaching how to do it will never replace learning from doing.

Just like all the mindset and personal development in the world will not give you the drive and the motivation that it often takes to see the thing through.

That is something that comes from inside. It must be part of your core and what you are made of.

You just have to want it bad enough. If you do, you will keep trying until you get it right. And if you don't, you will most likely go the way the majority of the people go. To the wayside.

You Want The Right Mindset? Do This ...

.

Follow someone who has perfected what you want to do, and do what they do. Internet marketing, social media marketing, or offline conventional marketing, if to be done successfully, all have one thing in common. You have to be determined as hell. Is this a mindset? You better believe it is.If you're not determined as hell, you won't make it. That's just the way it is.

keep it in perspective

Keeping things in perspective is another necessary mindset. It's not easy. You have to know that and remember that.

If your mind's not in the right place you'll easily get overwhelmed to the point of throwing in the towel.

This is a big problem for a lot of people. In their mind it's going to be easy. Maybe they've been taught that it's going to be easy.

Maybe they've been told to "just do this thing and then that thing and the money will come rolling in".

This kind of illusion is just the opposite of having, or learning, the right mindset. False hopes are dangerous. Once hit by reality it's easy to get derailed.

"This is not what I expected. I was not told it would be like this". Can you relate to false expectations?

fire the boss ... have you heard that before?

That grand vision of "Firing The Boss".  It's where my mindset was. That's what I understood was going to happen. Sound familiar?

“Here's the reality. The new boss is going to have to be tougher than the old boss was. It takes work.”

Hard work, dedication, discipline, structure, organization, training, application, action, testing, rinsing and repeating, and so it goes.

You have to get up in the morning and show up for work ... ready to rock. Every day.

And that's where your mind needs to be. That is the mindset you must have.

You have to know it's going to take work and you have to be ready to work. Possibly having to work harder than you ever have before.

the 5-7 hour work week ... Really? No Not Really!

Maybe they told you about the 5-7 hour work week. Or The 30 day challenge.

How about the system does all the work for you? Ever heard that one?

That's not mindset that's mind abuse.

So i guess in this respect you can teach mindset. But does it take a lot of training? No, you just need to be aware that it's not going to be a cakewalk.

Mindset training for success will have you thinking

Should I engage in mindset training for success ... or just wing it?

"If it's to be, it's up to me".

I'm the one that has to make this thing happen. And trust me, my mind is going to have to be in the right place. I must be mentally fit, fully prepared, and ready for the challenge.

That's the hard truth about mindset. It's not something that requires a lot of learning. You already know how to work your ass off. You just have to do it now.

Personal development is important too

.

That's right. Personal development is important too. But it comes into play AFTER you understand that first it takes massive action. The massive action must be in place. It must be happening. It must be happening daily. Then the personal development will help you refine your message and your delivery.

Massive action comes in many Different forms

Massive action doesn't always mean a massive recruiting campaign. Often times it does, but not always.

It can also mean brainstorming, developing ideas, learning new skills online and off, learning new tools, creating content, building websites, encouraging and motivating team members, creating relationships, studying the company, the product, and the business model ... and more.

If you are doing these daily then you are taking massive action. Your mind is in the right place. If you're not doing these things, then you'll need to attend some mindset training for success. But just a couple. It's most crucial to take in a training, and then put it into action.

don't get stuck in the training vortex

Training after training after training. eBooks, seminars, recorded calls, conference calls, webinars. Without applying what you are learning.

No, no, no.

“Without taking action and engaging on what you are studying, you'll get sucked up in that training vortex. And that is something you definitely don't want to have happen.”

I said it before. I'll say it again. You are better off just doing the thing.

Put the training down and just do the thing. If you do it wrong great! Do it right the next time. Then get better until you get good.

You will develop skill sets that will take you much further than becoming a classroom mindset expert.

I'm not knocking training. it has it's place

Don't confuse my style of making a point.  I'm not saying that mindset training is bad, or that any training is bad for that matter.

It is most important. But train through application, not just listening to calls, tapes, and webinars. I'm a firm believer of this and teach it often.

There's a learning curve involved. A big one. Your mind better be in it or you won't last long. You need to be aware of this going in so you are mentally prepared.

Learn and lead your way to mindset training for success

Learn the components to success

I'm no expert. I'm still training and still learning. But a huge part of my training is through application and action taking.

I don't know it all. I simply teach what I learn as I learn it. From experience. Not from reading books. That's how it begins many times, but I won't teach it until after I do it.

Unfortunately there are a lot of trainers out there who don't operate on this principle. Some of them are just selling something.

Conclusion: Mindset training for success ... is it necessary?

So here's my conclusion:

Mindset training, just as any training, can help. There will be plenty of times along your adventure where a specific training will help your forward progress.

Mindset training, just as personal development training, is something that a person can be doing in their spare time, in between income generating activities.

It should never take the place of taking action and becoming self taught through application and performance.

It is the self-taught-through-action routines that will develop you into an experienced marketer faster than anything else.

That is the training that will instill in you much needed skill-sets and that you will remember the most. Learning by doing is unmatched for thoroughness and completeness.
